Sports Medicine

Although sports medicine is typically viewed as a service to assist persons with a an injury brought on by physical activity, it is also designed to prevent injuries before they occur. At Lakewood Health System, the Sports Medicine Team is equally focused on keeping you in the game by providing you with tips, techniques and other preventative measures—as they are on getting you back in the game if an injury should occur. Our team provides:

  • Athletic event coverage
  • Injury evaluation
  • Preventative care
  • Healthcare liaison
  • Self-care assistance and follow-up
  • Personal training for improved performance
  • Prevention, assessment, treatment and rehab of sports injuries
