Laboratory The Lakewood Health System laboratory is a full service laboratory providing microbiology, hematology, chemistry, immunology, transfusion medicine, urinalysis and electrocardiogram services. The transfusion medicine department assures an adequate blood supply for the medical and surgical needs of Lakewood Health System. The laboratory provides 24 hour coverage daily. The laboratory not only serves the hospital, but also serves the needs of the four Lakewood Clinics, which are a part of the Lakewood Health System.The laboratory medical director is a board certified pathologist and provides a full spectrum of clinical pathology consultative services. Certified technologists and technicians perform all laboratory testing and provide timely and accurate results for our patients.
