Visitor Information
VISITING HOURS
Visitors are encouraged to visit family and friends during
their hospitalization. Please check at the nurses stations
prior to your visit to make sure your visit occurs at the
best time for all.
Each patient has different needs so we remain as flexible
as possible about visiting policies. Our main goal is to provide
our patient with needed care, rest, and privacy. As a visitor,
you may be requested to leave the area when care or treatment
is being given or if we feel it is a disruption to needed patient's
rest.
GENERAL VISITING ETIQUETTE
Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirt and
shoes.
Visitors in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both
patients.
People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases
should not visit patients.
Visitors should maintain a quiet enviroment and avoid unnecessary
noise.
We are a tobacco free campusl, you may not use tobacco products
anywhere in the building or on the grounds.
NEW MOTHERS AND BABIES
This is a special time for families and we encourage you
to share in this time. Try to remember, Mom needs to be
feeling well and rested to enjoy your visit. For the protection
of the newborns, visitors should free from colds or infections.
Thorough handwashing is a must before touching or holding
the new baby.
INTENSIVE / CORONARY CARE
Due to the critical nature
of these patients, visiting hours are not limited to specific
hours. Visiting hours are designed to ensure patients receive
the rest necessary to optimize recovery. Please limit visits
to immediate family or significant others for short periods
of time. The length and frequency of your visits will be at
the discretion of the nurse in charge of this unit. Regardless
of the hour, our nurses will keep you and your loved ones informed
of the patient's condition and answer any questions or concerns
you may have.
