Radiology/Diagnostic Services

All general x-ray procedures can be performed at Lakewood Health System, in addition to therapeutic injections, genito-urinary procedures, gastrointestinal studies for upper and lower GI series and video GI studies for speech and swallowing difficulties.

With our CT scanner we are able to do very quick exams that also include 3-D exams. We do CT guided biopsies on all body parts including lung masses, liver lesions, bone lesions, abscesses, lung scans for diagnosing blood clots in the lung. CAT scans of any body part are available.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) procedures are available to our facility two days a week and minimally invasive MR angiograms are available.

Nuclear Medicine services are available every Monday which include:

• Cardiac scan: showing how the heart is performing.
• Bone scan: to look for minute fractures or early spread of cancer.
• Lung scan: for finding blood clots in the lung.
• HIDA scan: for diagnosing gall bladder function problems.
• GI scan: for GI bleeding.
• Renal scan: for diagnosing kidney problems.

Other available services:

X-ray and CT procedures: available 24/7.
Mammograms: available five days a week.
Bone Density Study: for determining your bone calcium level.
