Anesthesia Department
Lakewood Health System’s Anesthesia
Department consists of CRNAs (Certified Registered Nurse
Anesthetists). Our CRNAs are independent, advanced practice
nurses that provide General, Regional (spinal, epidural,
upper extremity) and Monitored anesthesia care. Anesthesia
coverage is available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
Anesthesia considerations include: the patient's overall
health and medical history, the patient's concerns and preferences,
the nature of the surgery and ultimately the safest anesthetic
for the patient. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment, techniques,
agents and drugs.
The Department of Anesthesia provides general,
regional, and local anesthetics as needed for your comfort
and safety during surgical and therapeutic procedures as follows:
- Surgical anesthesia.
- Obstetric anesthesia
and analgesia.
- Monitored
anesthesia care.
- Ventilator care.
- Pain
management, acute and chronic.
- Treatment of the critically
ill.
- Provides services
twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.
- Anesthetists
provide services to neonates, infants, children, adolescents,
adults and older adult, in-patients
and out-patients.
