Our speech language pathologist provides services as needed to inpatient, outpatient and home care patients from birth through geriatrics.
Speech language pathologists evaluate and provide treatment for communication disorders in children and adults. Treatment may include methods to help improve speech sound production, resonance, voice quality, expressive and receptive language, fluency and cognition.
Through the use of videofluoroscopy, the speech language pathologist can also assess the function of an individual’s swallow to make sure that it is safe and efficient to help prevent respiratory infections such as pneumonia.
A speech language pathologist helps an individual to develop or recover communication and swallowing skills, so they can fulfill their educational, vocational and social roles.
