Dr. Josh Kempf, doctor of osteopathy (DO), joins Lakewood Health System’s specialty care team.
Originally from Granger, IN, Dr. Kempf completed his undergraduate studies at Northland College and received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed residencies at Mayo Clinic, Mankato and Pikeville Medical Center in Kentucky. Dr. Kempf is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, the American Osteopathic Association and the Minnesota Osteopathic Medical Society
As an osteopathic medicine physician, Dr. Kempf is fellowship trained and board-certified in neuromusculoskeletal/osteopathic manipulative medicine. He specializes in hands-on osteopathic manipulative treatment and performing injections, including steroids, trigger point and regenerative medicine. Prior to coming to Lakewood, Dr. Kempf worked as a family medicine physician for eight years. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages, including newborns, pregnant women and athletes, for a variety of musculoskeletal concerns, such as headaches/migraines, jaw, neck, back, rib, pelvis, joint and extremity pain, with a goal of improving health and recovery.

Dr. Kempf and his wife, Libby, have two children. They enjoy spending time outdoors as a family, hiking, skiing, hunting, boating, fishing and traveling to new places.
