Starting August 5, 2020, Lakewood Health System will be partnering with the Minneapolis Heart Institute® (MHI) at Abbott Northwestern, part of Allina Health, for cardiology services. Minneapolis Heart Institute is the highest ranked cardiology group in the Twin Cities, according to the recently released US News and World report rankings. Cardiologists will be providing weekly coverage at Lakewood.
Minneapolis Heart Institute is recognized as one of the world’s leading providers of heart and vascular care. Their cardiologists are highly skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the heart and blood vessels, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valve disease and electrophysiology.
MHI cardiologists will work directly with you and your primary care provider to manage all aspects of your care. Tests performed at Lakewood include:
- Echocardiograms
- Exercise treadmill tests
- Stress echo tests
- Nuclear stress tests
- Holter and event monitoring
- CT calcium scoring
