Mariah Nieman, family nurse practitioner (FNP), joins Lakewood Health System’s oncology staff.
Originally from Pine River, MN, Nieman received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Western Governor’s University and her master of nursing degree from Walden University. Nieman is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
As a family nurse practitioner, Nieman will provide oncology care and support for patients, working alongside Dr. Wade Swenson and fellow family nurse practitioner, Alyssa Manning. Nieman has experience as a registered nurse, working within the medical/surgical, long-term care and hospice fields.
“I’m excited to be joining such an amazing team at Lakewood and to begin my journey within the oncology field,” said Nieman.
Nieman has a five-year-old daughter and together they enjoy traveling and anything outdoors. Her whole family is local to the Brainerd Lakes Area, so she’s thankful for the opportunity to start her practice close to home.
