Originally from Fergus Falls, MN, Dr. McGovern completed her undergraduate degree from Colorado College, and received her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the National Rural Health Association.
As an oncology provider, Dr. McGovern cares for patients of all ages throughout their cancer journey, from diagnoses to treatment and follow-up care. She has special interests in breast cancer and solid tumors. “I am so excited to be a part of a group dedicated to offering top of the line care to our patients close to their own backyards. Cancer is hard enough without adding travel! I am so looking forward to the future of Lakewood’s Cancer Center and how we can help support this wonderful community!”
In her free time, Dr. McGovern loves to travel, exercise (including weights, running, cycling, yoga and swimming), thrifting, and spending time with her two dogs, Alvin and Otter.
