Oc. 11, 2024: Longbella Drug by Lakewood – Plaza will be holding flu shot clinics on Tuesday, October 15th and Wednesday, October 30th, both from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at its Plaza location (1210 US Hwy. 10 E, Staples). Flu shots are available by walk-in or appointment to anyone 18 years or older.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), annual flu vaccinations are recommended for everyone six months and older, with few exceptions. Vaccination is especially important for those who are at higher risk of developing serious complications from the flu. People with higher risk include, but are not limited to:
Those presenting for their flu shot are asked to bring some form of ID and insurance information to help expedite the process. While most insurances cover vaccinations at no cost to the patient, it is not guaranteed. Staff can help patients make that determination the day of the clinics, or patients can contact their insurance company prior to arriving for their shot.
