Originally from Ketchikan, AK, Dr. Luhrs received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her residency at Tacoma General Hospital She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Luhrs provides emergency care to patients in Lakewood’s emergency department. She has a special interest in rural medicine and working alongside primary care providers. “I’m excited to join a fantastic team of clinicians at an independent community hospital, dedicated to primary care.”
Dr. Luhrs comes from an extended family of farmers and ranchers, but both her parents were teachers and moved to Alaska when she was one, where she was raised with her two sisters. Her favorite activity is dance, in any form. She also enjoys singing and playing music. Some of Dr. Luhrs' other interests include hiking, biking, camping, yoga and walking her dogs.
