April 3, 2026: Lakewood Health System welcomes Magaen Kveton, family nurse practitioner, as the newest provider to the emergency medicine team.
Originally from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Kveton earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a degree in public health nursing from North Dakota State University. She later completed a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Alabama. Kveton maintains professional membership with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Kveton specializes in emergency medicine and will provide care to Lakewood patients in the emergency and urgent care settings. She also has special interests in geriatric care, family medicine, and wound care, with a strong focus on patient safety, education, and partnering with individuals and families to support informed, compassionate care.
“Having experienced Lakewood as both a patient and a family member, I’ve always appreciated the welcoming culture you feel the moment you walk through the door. I’m honored to join Lakewood and become part of this phenomenal team. It’s a privilege to care for patients during stressful moments, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.”
Kveton lives in the area with her husband and their four children. She and her husband enjoy cheering on the Minnesota Wild. Outside of work, Kveton enjoys baking, crocheting, and listening to audiobooks. She loves spending time with family, taking short getaways together to unplug and reconnect—especially hiking, camping, and enjoying Minnesota’s lakes and seasons.
