In early March, we never could have predicted the situation we are in now, and all the changes and decisions that have been made these last couple of months in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. One of the early significant changes that was made in healthcare was temporarily halting elective surgeries and procedures to ensure we had surge plans in place and had sufficient personal protective equipment (PPE). Now that we are better prepared, we are cautiously opening back up for non-urgent procedures to take place at Lakewood Health System (LHS). Our challenge now is prioritizing them to make sure the most acute cases can get in first. Thank you for your loyalty to Lakewood; we look forward to welcoming you back in the most efficient, safest way possible.
We are adding additional providers to the clinic schedule in our open clinic locations to accommodate increased demand for preventative care and management of ongoing medical conditions.
We are excited to announce the reopening of our Eagle Bend clinic as of June 1st. The Eagle Bend clinic will be a dedicated well clinic (for preventative care and management of ongoing medical conditions) Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
On June 1st, we will transition the Browerville clinic into a clinic for patients with symptoms consistent with COVID-19, due to the increased prevalence of confirmed COVID-19 cases in our southern service area.
Additional options to access medical care at Lakewood include:
Traditional In-person Clinic Visits
Virtual Visits
Click Care
Home Visits
Drive Up Lab
Thank you again for your patience as we work to carefully open all services at Lakewood Health System. Safety is always our number one priority, so rest assured we are putting a lot of thought and planning into this process to meet your needs. There might be more steps or requirements due to the pandemic, but by being patient and working together, we will accommodate you as quickly and safely as possible. Thank you for continuing to trust us to provide quality, personalized healthcare for a lifetime.
