Sept. 24, 2025: To increase awareness and accessibility to mammograms during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lakewood Health System’s radiology department will be offering mammogram appointments on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mammogram appointments are also available Monday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the year. If you are age 40 or older, have a family history or increased risk of breast cancer, talk with your medical provider about getting a mammogram.
Lakewood is proud to have been among the first facilities in the area to offer Genius™ 3D Mammography™ exams, and recently announced the addition of the SmartCurve® breast stabilization system—designed to reduce discomfort and improve image clarity. 3D mammograms are clinically proven to significantly increase the detection of breast cancers while decreasing the need to return for additional testing. That means earlier diagnoses and a great variety of treatment options available.
