Originally from Henning, MN, Ellenson received her Masters of Public Health from North Dakota State University, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the Minnesota Rural Health Association.
As a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health, Ellenson’s focuses included well woman care, sexual health, menopause symptom management, and prenatal/postpartum care in collaboration with labor and delivery providers. She has a particular interest in rural health and was the recipient of the Minnesota Rural Health Association (MRHA) Emerging Rural Health Leader Aware for 2023/24.
Ellenson and her significant other have three children, and a chocolate lab. They spend as much time outside as they can, including camping at the lake in the summer, and mushrooming in the spring. Ellenson also enjoys gardening, reading, preserving food, thrifting, crocheting, cooking, and traveling.
