Lakewood Health System’s pain education group was created to help people live better with pain. The group is free of charge and open to all.
Each meeting will have an educational topic focused on pain. These topics include medications, body mechanics, interaction of pain with mood and lifestyle, and more. There will be time for group discussion and questions.
Meetings take place in the lower level classrooms at Lakewood’s Main Campus (49725 Cty. 83) unless noted. Dates and times subject to change.

Group dates for 2023:

  • July 11 at 5 p.m.: Why are my nerves so sensitive? Presented by Tony Schotzko, PT
    (Meeting will take place in MC Boardroom)
  • August 8 at 12 p.m.: How the brain interprets pain. Presented by Dr. Paul Davis
    (Meeting will take place in MC Boardroom)
  • September 12 at 5 p.m.: Medical management of pain. Presented by Dr. Adrianne Moen
  • October 2 at 5 p.m.: Pain interventions. Presented by Robert Gonzalez, CRNA at Holistic Pain Management
  • November 6 at 12 p.m.: One step at a time. Presented by Tony Schotzko, PT
  • December 5 at 12 p.m.: TBD. Presented by Dr. Paul Davis
