Women in Philanthropy (WIP) is currently accepting grant applications for programs that focus on physical and mental health of children and youth. The deadline for applications to be submitted is November 1, 2019.
The WIP group offers competitive grant dollars to organizations and programs, in surrounding communities, in an effort to support needed health services, community education and preventative health programs and activities that contribute to the quality of life for children and youth in the five-county service area including Todd, Wadena, Cass, Morrison and portions of Crow Wing counties.
The WIP group is made up of area women, who, through donations, hope to positively impact the overall health and wellness of children. Awarded grant funds will ultimately support the mission of the WIP group which is, “Women: empowering people, enhancing lives, engaging communities to make our investment count.”
The projects that fit the WIP mission help support healthcare events and wellness programs that impact children. Examples of projects funded thus far: Lamp Camp tuition for children, Project Linus (blankets for children in crisis), Pillager Elementary Schools, health and wellness programs and equipment for children, and more.
Organizations and programs may qualify for a WIP grant once every three years. If your organization has obtained a WIP grant in the last three years, please consider reapplying three years after receiving your last grant. To obtain a grant application, please contact Matt Jensen at 218-898-7960.
