Come start your journey off right knowing the essentials of breastfeeding. Whether this is your first time, or you need a refresher, this class is for you! Our breastfeeding class is taught by International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) and has up-to-date-evidence based information. Although there will be some discussion of the benefits of nursing, this class goes beyond that and delves into topics like the anatomy of milk production, latching and positioning your baby, hand expression and/or pumping, breastmilk storage guidelines, first few days at home, is baby getting enough to eat and more. Pregnant moms are encouraged to attend and bring their support person, as well. The classes will take place on the first Wednesday of every other month in the Main Campus Boardroom. Class times vary.
