Prepared Childbirth classes take place in-person. Classes will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Classrooms on the Lower Level of Lakewood’s Main Campus.
Prepared Childbirth classes are intended for those in their fifth to eighth months of pregnancy, to help you and your coach get ready for labor and delivery. It is a class for first-time parents, as well as parents who have given birth before and want a review.
The class will teach you breathing, relaxation and coping techniques. We will discuss pain management options for both medicated and unmedicated births, as well as water births and cesarean sections. Moms are encouraged to have their support person join in their birth preparation.
