When to See an Eye Doctor

Make an appointment with an eye doctor if you experience symptoms such as:

• Blurry vision or change in vision
• Eye pain
• Red eye
• Stye, or a pink lump at the edge of the eyelid

Dr. Stacy Sjoberg from Great River Eye Center regularly performs procedures at Lakewood Health System and works with local optometrists.

The ophthalmologist may be consulted regarding blepharoplasty (surgery of the eyelid), phacoemulsification (ultrasonic removal of cataracts), and treatment of eye injuries and other diseases of the eye.
