Marissa and her husband, CJ, recently welcomed their first child. Having both grown up in the area, they consider themselves lucky to raise their son here, as well. In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with family, and going to the lake during the summer. As a family, they also enjoy watching and cheering on Minnesota teams, and of course, the NDSU Bison.
Medical Interests
Marissa Baumgartner is a physician assistant working as part of the Care Management team at Lakewood. Her role will focus on supporting hospital patients after discharge, providing after visit care for patients in the clinic, and collaborating with the care management team on population health services. After most recently working in an emergency department setting, Marissa is excited for the opportunity to get to know her patients better and caring for 'the whole patient'.
