Outside of work, Dr. Ruttger enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children. Family is at the center of his life, and they love making the most of their time together. When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Ruttger can be found outdoors - hunting, fishing, running, biking, or enjoying a day on the water. He values the balance family and the outdoors bring to his life and looks forward to becoming part of the community both in and out of the hospital.

Medical Interests

As a general surgeon, Dr. Thomas Ruttger provides a wide array of surgical procedures for patients of all ages. He has special interests in minimally-invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries, hernia repairs, and cancer operations.
