At Lakewood Health System, we take your feedback seriously. Our goal is to make your visit or stay with us exceptional. We want you to feel like you are a guest in our ‘home’. Quality is the focus of everything we do. From efficiency efforts, safety, employee engagement and physician recruitment to external quality measures, continuing education, and a willingness to listen to our patients—quality is the fuel that drives our engine.

One of the best ways to rate healthcare quality and safety is through data collected by independent sources. We voluntarily participate in programs to measure our performance and compare with other hospitals throughout the region, state, and nation. The data included here is an effort to increase the level of transparency so that our patients can make informed healthcare decisions.

Click on the headings below to find quality and safety data. Please note that in some cases the data could be up to a year old:

  • Hospital Compare:  This is a national survey often referred to as HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) that asks patients about their experiences during a recent hospital stay. Use the results shown here to compare hospitals based on ten important hospital quality topics.
  • Nursing Home Compare:  This tool has detailed information about every Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing home in the country.
  • MN Health Scores: These reports provide information about the care provided in clinics (doctor’s offices), medical groups and hospitals throughout Minnesota.
  • Home Health Compare: This tool, also known as HH-CAHPS (Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems), has detailed information about every Medicare-certified home health agency in the country.

Because we want patients to feel like they can share their opinions anonymously, we hired a third party vendor (Press Ganey) to survey, gather results, and report feedback to us about our service throughout the year. Press Ganey works with more than 10,000 healthcare organizations nationwide to report findings, and improve clinical and business outcomes.
