Twenty-twenty-six brings the celebration of birth for Annika DeGier and Zachary Miklos, Little Falls, who welcomed their new baby girl, Lainey Aveline, into the world on January 1, 2026. Lainey was born at 1:34 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and measuring 21 inches.
The delivering provider was Dr. Adrianne Moen, assisted by registered nurse, Missi Ironwood. To celebrate Lainey’s birth, the Lakewood Health System Foundation and Piecemakers Quilt Club of Staples presented gifts to the family in honor of the new year. The Foundation gave a gift basket of items prepared by The Shoppe (Lakewood’s gift shop) and Longbella Drug by Lakewood, and the Piecemakers Quilt Club gave a beautiful handmade baby quilt, prepared just for the first baby of 2026.
